Hi! I'm a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), originally from Poland. I followed my dream to professionally grow and treat clients in the United States. I have been doing it since November 2018. I help my clients understand the underlying causes of speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing impairments and treat the symptoms using a variety of methods. I have been utilizing my skills and knowledge to establish meaningful, client-driven connections, and approaches focused on enhancing swallowing, feeding, and communication functions to promote overall well-being, balance, and a healthy lifestyle.I was born in the charming town of Kłecko, Poland before moving to Poznań at the age of 16 to attend one of the top high schools, The II High School of Gen. Zamoyska and Helena Modrzejewska. During my studies in Warsaw, I delved into various perspectives of speech therapy, including psychology, language development, neurology, psychiatry, and linguistics. I learned many important lessons including the fact that there is no disability, there is a human. This belief has shaped my approach to therapy and instilled a deep appreciation for the uniqueness of every client. In pursuit of expanding my horizons, I embarked on a student exchange program in Torino, Italy, where I studied psychology and discovered the joy of learning a new culture and language. This experience ignited my passion for helping others understand and embrace different cultures and human nature and this is why in 2013 I completed postgraduate studies in teaching Polish as a second language at the University of Warsaw.

After obtaining my master’s degree in speech and language pathology I wanted to learn more about the world and I started a new adventure as an Au-Pair in the United States. Immersed in American culture, I had the opportunity to explore the field of speech therapy, inspired by my host mom, who was also an SLP. She encouraged me to apply for the American Speech Hearing Association license. When I returned to Poland, I began working on my credentials to meet the education requirements for the United States SLP master’s program. Over the next seven years, I worked in acute stroke and neurology units treating patients with aphasia and dysarthria. Simultaneously, I maintained a private practice focused on clients suffering from stroke with communication needs and began teaching Polish to professionals and people who followed their love/passion and made Poland their new home, culture, and business location. To keep myself busy while waiting for the approval of the credentials and to continue honing my language skills and fostering a connection with the English language, I became an English tourist guide on weekends in Poznan, Poland.
After 12 years of dedication and perseverance in the United States immigration program, I finally made it to the United States and chose Maryland as my new home. My first opportunity to serve was working in elementary and high schools, specializing with clients with severe autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disability in Carroll County, MD. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I extended my services to nursing homes to assist in surrounding states including Virginia and Delaware. My focus has always been client-driven, including conditions such as dementia, dysphagia, cognitive impairments, aphasia, voice disorders, and dysarthria on a daily basis.
